What a great day for a contest
Well we had our Slopestyle competition Saturday, and couldn't really ask for better conditions. The sun was shining, and the park was looking great. The event was originally scheduled to be a Halfpipe competition, but as most of you know our pipe is still under construction. With the snow that is falling this week, it shouldn't be long before we have a u-jump to play in. Also, both terrain parks are getting closer to fully set up. We have a few more features to go in each park. If you haven't been up in a while then you definitely need to come check it out.

So now that Revolution is set with 16 features what about its younger brother Silvertip? Why does it go from the intermediate to advanced (Revolution) to what seems like a childs playground (Silvertip)? My thoughts on the matter is Terrain Crew can make rollers on some other run and make Silvertip something were a beginner to intermediate rider can advance and even expert riders can stay entertained as they ride through. Revolution is a big jump for a beginner terrain junkie to just hop into and Silvertip is small time as of now. So what if the weekend dads cant take there boy through and roll over some lips. A terrain park is meant for already compentent riders to try new things in. Dont get me wrong I love seeing the little shredders come through and rip the jumps. What Im saying is get the ones that pizza thier ski's through the lips on some rollers some place else and get us something we can have fun on when we are taking our less fortunate friends up marmot. Anyone else know what Im sayin here?
ReplyDeleteProps to terrain crew for what we already have.
I don't really ride the silvertip, but the jumps/lips on the revolution are set up so nicely that even the beggining terrain park junkies are fairly safe to bomb off of them, but I do understand where youre coming from man, for sure... I'll have to just suck it in and ride marmot once this week to see how that terrain park is set up...I just hate riding that lift. Ugh.
